One Piece of Advice
“Financial planning is the art of aligning your resources with your aspirations, ensuring that every dollar is a vote for the life you want to live.”
Why I Become a Registered Representative
Getting his first job at the age of 16, Mason’s parents had him open a Minor Roth IRA. Over time, he watched it grow and became excited and intrigued at the idea of working in the financial industry. This initial step as a teenager helped to set him on the right path. His decision to pursue financial planning, though, did not come to fruition until he began taking specialized classes at Oklahoma State University. These classes opened his eyes to the breadth of information required to work in the industry and ultimately led to him receiving a bachelor’s degree in finance.
My Career & Credentials
Before joining Cadent Capital, Mason worked at Fidelity in retirement planning and spent one year at Merrill in their advising program. Now as a registered representative at Cadent Capital, he finds that financial advising is the perfect blend of investments and being able to share his knowledge. Mason currently holds Series 7, 66, and SIE licenses and is working toward licenses in General Lines Life/Health and becoming a CFP®.
Life Away from the Office
Growing up in Flower Mound, TX, Mason remains close with his family, although they are scattered throughout the area. When he isn’t helping clients in the office, he can often be found embracing his inner “foodie” by enjoying the best eating spots in Dallas. He also spends time playing board games with his family, golfing twice a month, and traveling.
